Kazoo! Fest Preview – Wednesday April 9th

 In Uncategorized

merch-boxIt’s time to kick off Kazoo! Fest 2014 with an incredible line-up for Wednesday night. We get things started with an opening reception for Promised Land, a multimedia exhibition by Alexandra Mackenzie at Ed Video that will feature animation, printmaking and illustrations. And don’t forget to catch Alexandra performing on Friday night at eBar as Petra Glynt. It’s going to be an incredible start to an action-packed festival, so be sure to stop in and check it out!

After the opening at Ed Video, you can walk around the corner to the eBar for the first live performances of the festival. This will also be the first glimpe of Fezz stenton’s interactive multimedia installation Crystal Clouds, which will surround the stage and react to the music. Starting off the night we have a Kazoo! favourite, Kelly McMichael and The Gloss. After that we’ve got Montreal’s Jef Barbara with their unique dance-able brand of electro glam-pop. Closing out the first night of Kazoo! Fest we have Toronto’s Hooded Fang, playing their first set in Guelph since the release of their incredible abum ‘Gravez’. Hooded Fang are without a doubt one of the best live bands around, so get ready for some timeless melodies brimming with psychedelia and ‘60s sunshine pop.

This is also the first chance you’re gonna have to try Kazoo! Brew Festive IPA from Wellington Brewery, that is if you’re over 19, since this is also an all-ages show! Oh yeah, and we’ll have some fancy new Kazoo! Fest merch for sale including a tote bag designed by Marc Bell. We hope you can join us to get Kazoo! Fest 2014 started with a bang!
