Kazoo! #243: Scott Merritt / Anamai – Dec 2nd @ Silence

 In Pre 2018 Shows

Scott Merritt is a Guelph legend. An internationally respected recording artist and music producer, Merritt has been active since 1980. During that time he has released six albums under his own name on labels that include Duke Street Records, IRS Records and MCA/Universal Records. Clever, powerful and intimate, Merritt is a force. With his latest album, Of, ranking among his finest work and his live performances seeming to better every time he takes the stage, Merritt continues to reach new heights.

ANAMAI (Toronto, ON)
Toronto’s ANAMAI is the experimental folk project of Anna Mayberry (HSY) and David Psutka (Egyptrixx, Hiawatha). With their exceptional 2015 debut, Sallows, on Buzz Records making them critical darlings, ANAMAI proved their worth as one of the most acclaimed acts at Kazoo! Fest 2016. With sparse but layered music, ANAMAI leaves you with the suspicion that something even heavier might be lying underneath. Feel the weight.
