Video Feedback Kid’s Disco, Film details, and our Opening Night Party

 In Uncategorized

Kazoo! fest has always been about more than music and we’re delighted to announce our special programming as part of Kazoo! fest 2011. Our biggest special event at the festival is our Zine & Comic Expo, where we still have a few tables open (but they are filling up fast). We’re also delighted to co-present Jenny Omnichord’s Video Feedback Kid’s Disco with Ed Video. The Kid’s Disco is a crazy dance party featuring music, games, video, dancing and fun in a psychedelic nightclub for kids (recommended for ages 12 and under). We’re also hosting an Opening Night Party which includes amazing projects like the Drink & Draw, Video Game Jockey, and a Kazoo! poster show.

Our friends at the Festival of Moving Media will be co-presenting a film screening at Kazoo! fest. The night will feature a selection of NFB shorts selected by the FOMM. We’ll also be showing the debut Guelph screening of ‘Wurld’ a film by Emi Honda and Jordan McKenzie (of Elfin Saddle). You can read more about the film screening here and here’s the trailer for ‘Wurld’:

In the meantime, we’ve got a lot of exciting stuff happening. Our full schedule will be posted in a few days and we should have our posters up around town. Final details about our Crony Pass (our Kazoo! fest pass) will also be announced very soon. Our weekly Kazoo! fest Podcast starts this Tuesday and will feature Kazoo! fest artist Skene, playing some exclusive unreleased tracks. Keep checking back here and follow us on twitter for the most up to date announcements. Happy (almost) spring!
