Kazoo! Fest is back for our 11th year! As a harbinger of warmer weather to come, Kazoo! Fest will transform downtown Guelph into a hotbed of underground music and art for five action-packed days. From April 11th to 15th, the festival will showcase over 50 musical performances, visual art, the Kazoo! Print Expo, Guelph Night Market, and more. View the full music lineup here.

This year’s boldly curated music lineup is a genre-defying exploration of contemporary independent music that shines a light on up-and-coming artists. A few highlights include Juno nominated rapper Clairmont The Second, and notable artists from across Canada including: Faith Healer, Mauno, WHOOP-Szo, Elle Barbara’s Black Space, Doomsquad, Matthew Progress, Witch Prophet, and many more. View the full music lineup here.

Presented in partnership with Sappyfest and CFRU 93.3 FM, the festival will also feature a rare performance from legendary 73 year-old transgender artist Beverly Glenn-Copeland who will perform with a full band at Dublin Street United Church.

Kazoo! Fest 2018 will also feature a special showcase curated by indigenous record label Revolutions Per Minute which will include performances from Ottawa’s Silla + Rise, and Toronto producer Ziibiwan, with more to be announced.

At the heart of the weekend festivities will be Kazoo! HQ, a 5,000+ sq. ft. pop-up venue and gallery space in downtown Guelph which will be host to mind-bending multimedia performances, visual and media art, and artist talks co-presented in partnership with Ed Video Media Arts Centre. The visual art lineup so far includes Kendra Yee, Ken Ogawa, Ben Grossman, and JG with more to be announced soon.

A number of well-loved Kazoo! Fest traditions are back again this year including the Kazoo! Print Expo featuring comic-makers, zinesters, and printmakers as well as the hugely popular Guelph Night Market showcasing DIY creators of handmade objects and curated thrifters. And it wouldn’t be Kazoo! Fest unless the weekend was capped off with a Pancake Breakfast show on Sunday morning.

Schedule and ticket details will be announced in the coming weeks. Thanks to our incredible sponsors, co-presenters, and supporters who help make this possible. And thanks to JG for the incredible poster design. We’re looking forward to seeing you at Kazoo! Fest.
