SLIM TWIG:
www.slimtwig.com
Slim Twig is a shape-shifting performer and song-sculptor based in Toronto. His artistic vision is born from a twisted landscape of pop and experimental music and avant-garde film. Slim Twig has become known for “Suicide-drenched, art-damaged country tunes” that combine rockabilly swagger and post punk energy. At Kazoo! Slim Twig will be playing with a full band this time, a rare treat not to be missed.

LIVE ACTION FEZZ:

As “Live Action” Fezz from Green Go creates experimental and playful electronic music. Drawing on skwee influences, samples, and loops, he creates intricate looped dance music. His set at the Kazoo! 5th anniversary will also mark the release of his newest album.

DOLDRUMS:
myspace.com/doldrumstoronto
Doldrums is the project of Arick Woodhead (of Sprial Beach) joined by lots of percussion. It’s been described as a “percussion-heavy, synth- and vocal-driven experimental psychedelic soup project” by Exlcaim! Their first release was a VHS mixtape which you have to see to believe. Check it out on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K49CCtIO4XA

ROUGE:
myspace.com/rougerevolution
Kelly McMichael of Gentleman Reg, and Jess Tollefsen of Green Go sing glam pop with a touch of 80’s flare and club beats, provided by a super hot drummer in spandex. They are excited to be recording their second EP with the help of Heather Kirby (Ohbijou), Evan and Geordie Gordon (The Magic), and Karl Snyder (Kidstreet). Its anticipated release is the hot and steamy summer of 2011.

MOTEM:
www.motem.ca
Slow Hand Motëm is one funky individual and Canada’s first man of Skweee. He likes to record albums in his studio/hideaway and show them to the world via the internet… limited vinyl releases and the Motëm live ensemble known as “The Motestra.” The Motëm funk is, to hear it, is to know it. Like soothing comfort basement-tape soul music. Since 2004, Motëm has independently recorded and released over 30 albums via his own Gebbz Steelo Boutique.

MADADAM:
Madadam is a Guelph based producer, drummer, and beatmaker. He’s currently the drummer for Common Grackle and has made beats for numerous albums by Noah 23. He’s also producing a ton of new records that are about to come out soon. During this rare live set Madadam will be joined by Noah 23, Live Action Fezz, Skweezy C, Gregory Pepper and more.
