Self-described as a “newly birthed celebration of sound and life”, SHEBAD was dreamt up by Claire Voy and Mark Spagnolo and has been further fleshed out by some of the best young musicians around. If you mix Erykah Badu, Bernice and Fet.Nat in a blender, you might come close to SHEBAD’s sound. One thing is for sure though, this is a band in charge of their own sound and charting their own path. Smart, calculated, and fun – the future of Guelph music has hope, cronies.
Catch SHEBAD at Kazoo! Fest 2022 at Onyx (12 Wyndham St – 2nd Floor) on Friday July 15th @ 7:30 PM with Fat Tony, Jane Inc. and Status/Non Status. This show will also feature live visuals by Evan Gordon and gin ebony DJ’ing between and after sets.
