U.S. Girls is really a project like no other. Meg Remy makes songs as infectious as they are avant-garde, and as interesting as they are catchy. Having been nominated for a Juno and Shortlisted for the Polaris last year, U.S. Girls mixes the vocal melodies of Motown and ‘60s Girl Groups with genre-hopping, original production. Toronto’s U.S. Girls is satisfying on every level, and 2015’s LP, Half Free, showed us the highs that Remy can reach – and she’s only gotten better and more daring since then.
