Need a break to look at your phone, but don’t want to seem too millennial? Explore the dreamy film-making of Denise Nouvion and Samantha Cardow in a study of modern film format and its effect on the spectator. Through the platform of Instagram, “Feed” presents a short film which experiments with the spectacle of the mundane that populates our devices, creating a kind of conscious hypnosis. Get lost in an infinite scroll that penetrates your psyche and slowly unravels as you watch, while listening to the live soundtrack composed and performed by members of Memoryhouse.

This project was commissioned as part of the Look Hear Micro-Grant which helps fund the creation of a new multimedia performance created by local artists to debut at Kazoo! Fest each year. Thanks to our friends at Ed Video Media Arts Centre for helping make this opportunity possible.
