Place for Bands and Kazoo! Present…
Jaunt (Toronto, ON)
If you haven’t heard of Jaunt already you must be sleeping. This year Jaunt released their second EP, Cue, it exemplifies their diverse artistry in a succinct collection of songs. The music is friendly, articulate, and a special hue of melancholy fun.
Property (St. John’s, NL)
Property is a 3-piece angular-pop band based in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. In 2017 they recorded and released their debut record, Privacy. Their breezy, off-kilter approach, is refreshing and polished.
Softside (Guelph, ON)
Softside’s warped R&B sound is the work of Guelph’s own Ian Bain, who released the full length record, Luxury Lounge, earlier this year. Bain’s characteristic pop sensibility and brutally honest lyrics are backed up by a band composed of some of Guelph’s finest music makers, promising a powerful, nevertheless tender, performance
