Crony Passes, Schedule Updates, surprise show!

 In Uncategorized

Kazoo! Fest is only 3 short days away and we’ve got a few important updates to share: Crony Passes are still on sale with just a few remaining, so get them while you can! There’s also one day left to enter at Royalcityscene.com for a chance to win a free Crony Pass.

Unfortunately we’ve had a last minute cancellation. Harbourcoats (Bry Webb of the Constantines) will be unable to perform at the festival this year and will be replaced by Simone Downes (from One Hundred Dollars). Simon Downes is the lead singer of Toronto’s best country bands One Hundred Dollars. She will be performing a rare solo set as part of Kazoo! Fest 2011 on Friday April 15th at the Cornerstone. Our online schedule will be updated shortly to reflect this change. We are very sorry any confusion this may cause.

Guelph is buzzing with excitement! Here are some fun articles about the fest: Ontarion, Guelph Tribune.

Our podcast series continues as we launch episode #4 this Tuesday. It will feature an interview with Bonjay, as well as a few fun surprises. Also, this Wednesday at 8:05 am, Kevan Byrne of King Cobb Steelie is on the Mich Vish Interracial Morning Show! to discuss his band’s 20th Anniversary shows, including their stop at Kazoo! Fest. You can tune into the MVIMS on 93.3 FM in Guelph or online at www.cfru.ca (live or in the archives).

And we don’t want to spoil the surprise, but we will be hosting a surprise show during the festival with a pretty exciting band. We’ll only be announcing the location and band the day of the show on our twitter feed. The show will be free and Crony Pass holders will have guaranteed access.
